A northern beginning
Snow (雪花, 'snowflake') was launched in 1993 in Shenyang, in Liaoning. Its maker, China Resources Snow Breweries, part of the China Resources group, grew rapidly by building and buying breweries across the country.
The world's best-selling beer
In 2008 Snow overtook Bud Light to become the world's best-selling beer brand by volume, a position it owes almost entirely to the Chinese market: very little of it is sold abroad. According to Brand Finance, it is China's most valuable beer brand and the sixth most valuable beer brand in the world.
The taste
Snow is a light, pale lager, crisp and easy, made to be drunk cold and in quantity with food.
