A producer to know in Hebei’s coastal Jieshishan
Bodega Langes is in the Jieshishan sub-region of Hebei, north-east of Beijing and close to the Bohai Sea. Li Demei names it among the area’s producers to know, alongside COFCO Huaxia Great Wall.
Jieshishan is mild, with about 700 mm of rain a year. Vines must still be buried in winter, and the humid growing season demands careful vineyard work. Hebei ranks second only to Shandong in Chinese wine production and sales.
